Paul Bonin

Paul Bonin ( born May 24, 1960 in Hammersmith, London) is an English musician (vocals, bass, guitar, composition ).

Life and work

Bonin grew up in North London in an environment that has inspired him for many of his songs. His musical career began in 1978. 1979 Bonin played bass in the London punk band " The Shit ", played by Park at a rally of the National Union of Students in front of more than 5000 people in London's Hyde. From 1980 to 1982 he was a bass player in the band The Jetset with Paul Bevoir, took on several boards and went with her on tour. During this time, Bonin worked for the media mogul Clive Banks in Parker Street.

After moving to Berlin in 1986, Bonin founded with Stephen Hill Eckenbach and Stefan Gerhard Street the punk band "The Magoo Brothers", which was until its dissolution in 1989 in Europe with more than 400 concerts on tour. In 1988, the band released the album "Beyond believeable ". He toured the newly independent countries of Eastern Europe and played at the 1992 festival in Jurmala Riga, Latvia, which was also broadcast on television, in the same year on the Ukrainian national festival of Mary, and in the following year as support for Marc Almond at the Sopot Festival.

In the late 1990s he founded the band "King Bastard " (with Tex Morton on guitar ), with whom he recorded several albums. Their song "Time on My Hands " was used in the film by Sven Regener 's novel " Herr Lehmann " directed by Leander Haussmann. Bonin and Regener worked together in 2001 at the Element of Crime - plate " romance " where Bonin was involved as a background singer.

Signed in 2004 Bonin an exclusive contract with Universal Music. Furthermore, arranged and co-produced Bonin, among others, Moses Schneider ( Beatsteaks, Tocotronic ) and with Christian Geller ( Banaroo, No Angels ), Vanessa Petruo and Apocalyptica.

Bonin went on tour with Ben Hamilton and played at the The Say Highs, including as support for The Sea and Cake, Jack Peñate and Kula Shaker.

In early 2009 founded Bonin his band " The Chosen Few", with which he was also in the studio.
