Paul Eyschen

Paul Eyschen ( born September 9, 1841 in Diekirch, † October 11, 1915 in Luxembourg ) was a Luxembourgian politician.

Paul Eyschen was the son of Charles -Gérard Eyschen. He studied law in Bonn and Paris, after which he worked as a lawyer.

In 1866 he was elected as an MP in the Assemblée des États.

From 1875 to 1888 he was Chargé d' Affaires to the German government. Between 1876 and 1888 he also served as Director General (Minister ) of Justice in the government of Félix de Blochausen and Édouard Thilges.

On September 22, 1888 Paul Eyschen joined the succession of Édouard Thilges as Minister of State and President of the Government. These offices he held for 27 years until his death in 1915. At the same time, he was Director General for External Relations and from 1896 in charge of agriculture and viticulture.
