Paul Marco

Paul Marco ( born June 10, 1925 in Los Angeles, † 14 May, 2006 Hollywood) was an American actor who became popular through performances in films of Ed Wood.

Biography

Marco took classes in acting, singing and dance, played as an actor at smaller theaters. In 1944 he was in the Archie Mayo Musical Sweet and Low-Down his feature film debut. His career was initially without notable highlights, up in the early 50s, the American parapsychologist and television presenter Marco Criswell predicted a significant career and introduced him to the B-movie director Ed Wood. Under the direction of the " worst director of all time" ( Golden Turkey Award) Marco played in several productions. He embodied a total of three times - in the films Bride of the Monster, Night of the Ghouls and Plan 9 from Outer Space - the timid and clumsy policemen " Kelton ". After working with Wood and Marco ended withdrew more and more back from the profession. His most recent productions were among the drama The Wild Ones with Burt Lancaster and an episode of the television series 77 Sunset Strip.

Only Tim Burton's film portrait of Ed Wood (1994 ) Marco brought back a certain popularity. The film is based Marco (played by Max Casella ) after the end of his film career, my own fan club, which he is president, and uses a lot of energy to give the supposed fans autographs.

In 2005 he was seen in the compilation film The Naked Monster one last time in the role of Officer Kelton.

Paul Marco died after a lengthy health problems on 14 May 2006.
