Pavlov (Kladno District)

Pavlov ( German Paulow, 1939-1945 Paulhof ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers north-east of Unhošť and belongs to Okres Kladno.

Geography

Pavlov is on the Unhoschter panel ( Unhošťská tabule ). North of the village rises the brook Sulovický creek, east of Dobrovízský creek. On the northern outskirts of the village, the route to the R 6 / E leads 48 between Nové Strašecí and Hostivice past Pavlov. At the southern end of the village the railway line Praha- Chomutov runs. To the east lies the Prague airport.

History

On the Gut Neuhof put Paul in 1801, was named after him at the village Paulow. In the vernacular, the village was mostly called Nové Dvory. Attractions

  • Castle Nový Dvůr, built 1799-1801 with elements of Classicism and Empire style. It served after the expropriation in 1950, including as municipal office.
