Pavlovce nad Uhom

Pavlovce nad Uhom ( until 1927 slovak " Pavlovce "; Hungarian Paloc ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia, near the border with Ukraine.

It lies in the east of the East Slovak Lowland by the river Uh, 9 km from Veľké Kapušany and 20 km from Michalovce.

The first written record was 1327. Worth seeing are the late-Baroque Roman Catholic Church of Saint John the Baptist from the year 1793 and a Greek Catholic church from the year 1892.

To the municipality next to the main town also includes settlements Tahyna (1960 amalgamated ) and Ortov.
