Pegli

Pegli is a neighborhood in the western periphery of the Italian port city of Genoa.

For Pegli include Dorfschaften Pegli, Castelluccio and Multedo and settlements Granara and San Carlo di Cese, located in the Val Varenna. They together have about 28,000 inhabitants. Since 2007 Pegli belongs to Munizip VII Ponente.

Location description

Pegli ( to speak for German easiest without the "g", so Peli ) is a former noble residence some 15 km west of Genoa component on the coast of Liguria. To the east of the now associated Teilort Multedo follows, from which it is separated by the river Varenna, whose valley was known for its paper mills. In the hinterland of the mountains of the group of Monte Penello quickly rise to over 1000 meters. Pegli is crossed by the national road 1 Aurelia and the A10 (Genoa - Ventimiglia ). However, the motorway Genova Pegli is not located directly in the neighborhood, but in the small neighboring district Multedo.

Rail network

The national railway company, Ferrovie dello Stato operates on the railway line between Ventimiglia and Genoa in Pegli a small station. Ferry
