Pekka Saravo

Pekka Saravo ( born November 13, 1979 in Rovaniemi ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since 2009 Tappara Tampere of the SM - liiga under contract.

Career

Pekka Saravo began his career as a hockey player in the youth of the Finnish first division Tappara Tampere, in which he was active until 1998. Then he gave in the 1998/99 season his debut in the I divisioona for discos Jyväskylä. He then returned to Tappara, for the first time he ran aground in the 2000 /01 season in the SM- liiga. With its team of defenders in 2001 and 2002 runner-up and won in 2003 with the team the championship.

In the summer of 2005 Saravo changed for the first time abroad in Europe, where he received a contract with Luleå HF in the Swedish Elitserien, for whom he was on the following three seasons on the ice. Prior to the 2008/09 season, the Finn was of their league rivals Linköpings HC committed, for which he ran aground this season in all four group matches in the newly formed Champions Hockey League and scored a goal.

For the 2009/10 season Saravo returned once more to his original club Tappara Tampere in the SM- liiga back.

Internationally

For Saravo Finland took part in the World Championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
