Teemu Aalto
Teemu Aalto ( born March 30, 1978 in Kokkola ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since May 2012 at Tappara Tampere in the Finnish SM- liiga under contract.
Career
Teemu Aalto began his career as a hockey player at Hermes Kokkola, for which he was active from 1996 to 1999 in the I divisioona. He then moved to HPK Hämeenlinna, for which he was on the following five seasons in the SM- liiga on the ice and in 1999, 2000 and 2002 respectively finished third. In addition, the defender completed in the 2000 /01 season two games for the FPS Forssa from the second-rate Mestis. In summer 2004, Aalto signed a contract for the first time in Europe, where he Timrå IK joined, for which he spent the next two seasons in the Swedish Elitserien. The season 2005/ 06 ended the right shooter also in Switzerland, where it ran aground in the playoffs once for the SC Bern of National League A, and four times for the HC Sierre- Anniviers from the National League B.
Following this, Aalto returned to his Finnish homeland, where he stood, the following two seasons at Tappara Tampere under contract by which he was third in the 2007/ 08 season. Before the season 2008/ 09 he was obliged Linköpings HC of the Elitserien, for whom he ran aground this season in all four group matches in the newly formed Champions Hockey League, but remained point and impunity.
In August 2011 he returned to Finland and was engaged by Kärpät Oulu. For Kärpät he completed 62 games in the SM- liiga before he was taken in May 2011 by Lukko Rauma under contract. In Lukko he was an assistant captain and reached with the club in 2011 to third place in the Finnish Championship. For the following season, he was obliged by his former club Tappara Tampere.
