Pentatonix

Pentatonix is a five-member a cappella group. consisting of Mitch Grassi ( countertenor ), Scott Hoying (baritone ), Avi Kaplan ( bass), Kirstie Maldonado (mezzo- soprano) and Kevin Olusola ( beatbox ), originally from Arlington, Texas, USA.

Band History

The group won the third season of a cappella talent competition The Sing -Off on NBC. The winning song is an a cappella arrangement of Eye of the Tiger, which originally comes from the band Survivor. Pentatonix won $ 200,000 and a recording contract with Sony. Her debut album, PTX Vol 1, debuted at number 14 on the Billboard 200 chart and her Christmas album, PTXmas, debuted at # 1 on the iTunes album charts Holiday. First album and tour
