People's Front for Russia

The All-Russian National Front (Russian Общероссийский народный фронт ( ОНФ ) ), transcription Obschtscherossijski Narodni front ( ONF ) means a group of social organizations in Russia, which was officially founded in May 2011 by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Structure

The All-Russian National Front is currently composed of more than 2,000 organizations, including:

The Chairman of the All-Russian National Front is Vladimir Putin.

History

The All-Russian National Front was officially founded on May 6, 2011 in Volgograd. The United Russia party stated the aim of this organization to want to integrate non-party deputies to the Duma. Everyone who belongs to the All-Russian National Front, has a theoretical chance to collect as a deputy in the Duma, without being a member of the party " United Russia ".

Criticism

The ONF has been criticized in Russia and many other countries.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is skeptical of the ONF. While he recognized the commitment and effort of the party " United Russia ", but do not think that the ONF could ascend to the dominant political movement in Russia.
