People's Party (Faroe Islands)
Fólkaflokkurin (FF, German People's Party) is a conservative, bourgeois party of the Faroe Islands. In elections, it bears the name list A.
The People's Party was established in 1939. The first chairman was Jóannes Patursson. Its current chairman is Jørgen Niclasen. In Løgting the FF is represented by eight MPs.
The party moved on 6 April 2011 from from the government in 2008 appointed Minister Jørgen Johannesen their Niclasen ( Foreign Minister ), Annika Olsen (interior) and Jacob Vestergaard ( fisheries, and energy ). After early elections, the FF returned to the new coalition government Johannesen II on November 14, 2011.
