Pepper Keenan
Pepper Keenan ( born May 8, 1967 in Oxford, Mississippi) is an American singer and guitarist who was best known for his work with the band Corrosion of Conformity and Down.

Career
Keenan was born in Oxford, Mississippi, but has lived in New Orleans, where he owns a bar. In his youth he was active in a band called Graveyard Rodeo, which he also Corrosion of Conformity met.
C.O.C.
Keenan joined C.O.C. In 1989 and with them released the album Blind. After the departure of Karl Agell and Phil Swisher Keenan took over in addition to guitar singing. Keenan released several albums with C.O.C. From 2006 to 2010, the band was on ice - in the meantime they recorded an album without Keenan.
Down
In 1991, Pepper Keenan, Phil Anselmo of Pantera, Jimmy Bower of Eyehategod, Kirk Windstein and Todd Strange of Crowbar, the band Down. The band, which was initially founded as a project, paused several times, but has since released three albums, another release is planned.
Other projects
Keenan, who is friends with James Hetfield from Metallica ( Metallica Cover Keenan sang at Tuesday's Gone by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hetfield sang at Man or Ash from the COC album Wiseblood ) also played by Jason Newsteds exit as bassist of Metallica before. The Audition is seen in Some Kind of Monster. 2006 Keenan also played with Metallica live Die, Die, My Darling by the Misfits, together with Matthew Heafy of Trivium.
