Pertoltice (Liberec District)

Pertoltice ( German Berzdorf ) is a municipality with 255 inhabitants ( 2005), 6 km north of Frýdlant ( Friedland ) in the Czech Republic. It belongs to the North Bohemian Okres Liberec and is located in 275 m above sea level. NN north of the Jizera Mountains on the European road 35 between Frýdlant and Zawidów.

History

After the Middle Ages took Berzdorf among Friedlander places a special position because it was not subject to the Friedländer rule, but directly of the crown. However, it is not clear how this position came about. It is clear, however, that Berzdorf belonged to the Görlitz region in the late 14th and early 15th century.

During the Thirty Years War, the courts often changed its owners, who then fell economically. In the years 1662-1665 Count Gallas became the owner of the farms, which were then incorporated into the Friedlander rule.

In the 19th century Berzdorf was divided into Oberberzdorf and Niederberzdorf. The Neuberzdorf founded in the late 18th century fell to Niederberzdorf.

In the 1930s Berzdorf had 11 Czech and German 469 inhabitants; the latter were expelled after the Second World War. End 1949 top and Niederberzdorf were reunited. On May 1, 1980 Pertoltice part of Habartice, but on January 1, 1991, there was again an independent administration.

Community structure

Pertoltice consists of the districts Dolni Pertoltice ( Niederberzdorf ) and Horni Pertoltice ( Oberberzdorf ), at the same time also form Katastralbezirke. For the district of Dolni Pertoltice the settlement Nové Pertoltice heard ( Neuberzdorf ).
