Peter Debye Award
The Peter Debye Award is an annual award of the American Chemical Society award in physical chemistry. It is named after Peter Debye and has been awarded since 1962. Currently ( 2012) he is worth $ 5,000. Since 1979, EI du Pont de Nemours sponsors the prize, before 1970-1976 Exxon Chemical. 1960, the price had been donated by the Humble Oil and Refining Co.. Between 1977 and 1980, no prizes were awarded.
