Phil Traill

Phil Traill (born 6 June 1973) is an American film director and screenwriter.

Life

Traill was born in New Jersey, but grew up in London ( UK). He studied at Newcastle University; he graduated in 1995. He then worked as a producer, including for the BBC. His first film for which he also wrote the screenplay, was the short film Hiccup (1998). He turned more short films, including Flipped (2001), Dangle (2003) as well as several episodes of the TV series Spoons ( 2005). For the film All About Steve (2009), he received the 2010 Golden Raspberry for worst director. Since 2010 he has directed several episodes of the television series 10 Things I Hate About You, Men of a Certain Age, Raising Hope, The Middle, Jane by Design and Suburgatory.

Traill lives in Los Angeles.
