Phyllis Kirk

Phyllis Kirk, born Phyllis Kirkegaard ( born September 18, 1927 in Syracuse, New York, † October 19, 2006 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California) is an American actress.

Life

Phyllis Kirk was born Phyllis Kirkegaard in Syracuse, New York. She is of Danish descent. She worked as a waitress, shop assistant and model and moved to her high school graduation at the Battin High School in New York City, where she took acting classes with Sanford Meisner. Shortly after her Broadway debut in 1949 she made her debut in 1950 in the four films once be a lady, My life is mine, Mrs. O'Malley and Mr. Malone and our own ego as a film actress. She was known, above all, by her two roles in the films The House of Wax and The regiment idiot, and as Nora Charles in the television series The Thin Man, which she played in 72 episodes on the side of Peter Lawford 1957-1959. Her acting career, she finished in 1970. Henceforth, she worked in the PR department of CBS News.

Phyllis Kirk died on 19 October 2006 as the result of a brain aneurysm. She was married to a television producer named Warren Bush until his death on 16 April 1991. Both are adjacent buried in the Arlington National Cemetery in a grave.
