Piccolino no Bōken

Pinocchio (Japaneseピコリーノ の 冒険, Pikorīno no Boken ) is an anime series from 1976, produced in co-production with ZDF and ORF. The series is based on the children's book Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.

Content

The series is about a carpenter who works a piece of wood. When the wood begins to speak, it's the carpenter no longer feel uneasy and he gives it to his friend Geppetto. Gepetto is enthusiastic and he begins to carve out of the piece of wood, a wooden doll. The puppeteer wanted to make him firewood, then when he gets compassion, he gives Pinocchio gold pieces. On the way home he meets the sly fox and the mangy alley cat. They tell him that if he buries the pieces of gold, the gold would increase. Later, Pinocchio encounters again the fox and the alley cat. You try to steal him the gold, as they do not get the gold, the fox and the alley cat grab him and tie Pinocchio to a tree. The next day come woodpeckers and zerpicken the shackles. After that, Pinocchio makes using the dove finally on the search for Gepetto. On the way there he gets his friend to play country. In Playland it turns into a donkey and met a man. The man tries to kill Pinocchio, but he escapes by jumping into the sea. But in the sea it is flushed into the belly of a whale where he sees Gepetto again. Together, it is possible the two to break free from the belly of the whale. At home, Pinocchio promises to be honest. When he complies with this intent, a man the next day from the wooden doll.

Production and publication

The 52- part series in 1976 was produced by Nippon Animation Studio together with Tatsunoko Production and Apollo film directed by Hiroshi Saitō and Shigeo Koshi. Marty Murphy designed the design and wrote the script. The series is one of the developed in co-production with ZDF, ORF and anime series by Nippon Animation.

The first broadcast took place on 27 April 1976 to 16 May 1977 TV Asahi instead. The German version was first broadcast by ZDF on September 8, 1977. The anime was, among others, also translated into French, Spanish, Italian and Polish. Later, the episodes in Japan and Germany appeared on DVD.

Music

The Japanese soundtrack composed by Yasushi Nakamura, the music of the German version comes from Karel Svoboda. The Japanese leader title Boku wa picorīno comes from Kumiko Osugi, as well as the credits song Orību no Kokage. The German leader was texted by Florian Cosano and sung by Mary Roos.

Success in Germany

According to Bernd Dolle - Weinkauff reached the anime series in Germany, as well as Heidi and Maya the Bee, a significant width effect, the series is shown to this day over and over again on television.
