Picture CD

The Kodak Picture CD is an ISO 9660 -compliant CD -ROM after the " Yellow Book " standard and is used for digital archiving of photographs. It is offered exclusively as an additional service in the development of small -screen negative or APS films.

The Kodak Picture CD is offered as a cost-effective alternative to the famous Kodak Photo CD, and is aimed primarily at amateur photographers. Developed and introduced it was in the summer of 1999 by the Eastman Kodak Company. The digitized photographs are stored on the compact disc with 8 bits per color channel in the lossy JPEG format. The pictures of miniature films are at a resolution of 1536 x 1024 pixels and APS film with 1536 x 864 pixels before. Stores the image files in the " PICTURE". On a Kodak Picture CD each can be always archive only a negative film.

Equipment
