Pingxi District

Pingxi (Chinese平溪 区, pinyin Pingxi Qū, PEH oē - jī Peng- khe ) is a district of the city of New Taipei City in northern Taiwan, Republic of China. It is the district with the lowest population of the city.

Location

The largely hilly Pingxi is surrounded by the neighboring districts Xizhi and Shiding in the West, Pinglin in the south, as well as Shuangxi and Ruifang to the east and northeast. In the north, the district borders the city of Keelung. In the area of Pingxi the River Keelung, which interrupted the District of some waterfalls rises in a north-westerly direction through flows.

History and Significance
