Plaid (Band)

Plaid is a British musical duo.

The members are Andy Turner and Ed Handley, along with Ken Downie the music project Black Dog Productions realized since 1989. Her first published nor under the alias Black Dog Productions Bytes LP was released in 1993 on the label Warp Records. Andy Turner and Ed Handley were strongly influenced by early hip- hop music, which they associated with dance music. The two musicians parted in 1995 by Downie. Then they took on the label Clear on an EP before they were finally at Warp Records. She also took along with Mark Broom under the pseudonym Repeat two songs, which can be heard on his EP south of market. Their first two LPs Not For Threes and residual Proof Clockwork was released in America on the label Nothing Records. The real breakthrough began with the compilation coach, which includes a review of their musical works from the period before Black Dog Productions. At this time (2000) Warp Records was going to gradually take in the U.S. foot, much to the benefit of plaid.

Plaid collaborated with video artist Bob Jaroc on their project Greedy Baby, which premiered in London's South Bank Centre was held and is now listed in the London IMAX cinema in Waterloo.
