Plum Sykes

Plum Sykes, actually Victoria Sykes, ( born December 4, 1969 in London ) is a British author, fashion journalist and member of the New York high society.

Life

Sykes great-grandfather was the politician Mark Sykes, her grandfather, Christopher Sykes was known as the official biographer of writer Evelyn Waugh and her mother Valerie Goad worked as a designer and model. Sykes grew up as one of six siblings in Sevenoaks in Kent, where she attended the Sevenoaks School. Her twin sister Lucy Sykes works as a designer and was fashion director of U.S. Marie Claire.

After completion of the study of history at Worcester College, Oxford, she worked from 1994 in the British edition of Vogue as a fashion assistant until her Anna Wintour in 1996 offered a job as a fashion editor at American Vogue. Sykes moved in 1996 to New York, where she soon became known in New York's high society as the " It Girl ". After a much-publicized by the tabloids broken engagement of artist Damian Loeb you were accused of, among other affairs with Bryan Adams and Tate Donovan.
