Pocito Department

The department Pocito located in the southern heart of the San Juan province in western Argentina is one of 19 administrative units in the province. A large part of Pocito is part of the metropolitan area of Gran San Juan the provincial capital San Juan.

It is bordered to the north by the Departamento Rivadavia, on the east by the department of Rawson, on the south by the department of Sarmiento and to the west by the Departamento Zonda. The capital of the department is Pocito Villa Aberastain.
