Podkomorzyce

Podkomorzyce ( German Niemietzke, 1938-1945 Puttkamerhof, Kasch. Pòdkòmòrzëce ) is a village in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the municipality Czarna Dąbrówka ( Black Damerkow ) in Bytowski powiat ( county Buetow ).

Geographical Location and Transport

Podkomorzyce located in Eastern Pomerania on the southern shore of Lupow (Polish: Łupawa ) in the hills. Through the town, the province road runs 211 Nowa Dąbrowa ( Neu Damerow ) ( in Polish country road 6, former German Reich Straße 2, now also European Route 28) with Kartuzy ( Karthaus ) and Żukowo ( Zuckau ) ( to the country roads 7 and 20) connects. A rail connection does not exist.

Place name

On December 29, 1937 Niemietzke was renamed by decree of the top presidents in Stettin in " Puttkamerhof " and thus recalls the application of a residence of the family Puttkamer to the late 17th century. The Polish naming, which otherwise is modeled more after the historic form of the name corresponds to this name change, probably because the name Niemietzke appeared inappropriate ( ie in Polish " angielski " = " German ").

History

The former Niemietzke was mentioned in the 17th century for the first time and was probably a scale of Damerkow of residence of the house Plassow - Lossin the Puttkamer family. In 1690, Peter George is called by Puttkamer name.

In 1784 Niemietzke had a Vorwerk, three Kossäten, a water mill, another Vorwerk called Bresinke and a total of eight households.

In 1854, Otto von Puttkamer Niemietzke sold to Baron Wilhelm von Puttkamer from the house Grumbkow. 1870 Niemietzke went over to his son Fritz ( Friedrich), the in 1910 his son Franz transferred before he spent his last years in Swinoujscie ( Świnoujście ). Franz Freiherr von Puttkamer (1874-1947) has managed the estate as the last gentleman on Puttkamerhof. He met his death on the run in the internment in the Danish Andrup in Esbjerg.

In 1910 Niemietzke counted 135 inhabitants. In 1933 their number was 138 and dropped to 1939 to 113

Until 1945 belonged Niemietzke or Puttkamerhof - and the district Niemietzker mill or Puttkamer Mill - for official and civil registry district Black Damerkow ( Czarna Dąbrówka ) and District Court District Buetow ( Bytów ) in the district of Stolp ( Slupsk ) in the district of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) of the Prussian province of Pomerania.

On March 9, 1945 Puttkamerhof was occupied by Soviet troops. Later, Poland invaded the village and expelled its inhabitants. The village now called Podkomorzyce with its 138 inhabitants, today a district of Gmina Czarna Dąbrówka in powiat Bytowski in the Pomeranian Voivodeship ( 1975-1998 Slupsk voivodship ).

Church

The villagers of Niemietzke or Puttkamerhof were before 1945, without exception, Protestant denomination. The place was in the parish of Great Nossin (now Polish: Nożyno ) in the parish church Bütow in the Church of the Province of Pomerania Church of the Old Prussian Union. Last German clergyman was pastor Winfried Behling.

Since 1945 lebbt a predominantly Catholic population in Podkomorzyce. The place now belongs to the parish Czarna Dąbrówka the Dean Łupawa ( Lupow ) in the diocese of Pelplin of the Catholic Church in Poland. Evangelical Church members are incorporated into the Cross parish in Slupsk ( Stolp ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

School

In the single-stage in 1932 elementary school in Niemietzke a teacher taught 19 school children.
