Esbjerg Municipality

Esbjerg Municipality is a Danish municipality in Jutland. It was created on 1 January 2007 as part of local government reform by combining the "old" Esbjerg Kommune with the previous municipalities Bramming and Ribe, as well as with the village in the parish Grimstrup Grimstrup the former municipality Light.

Esbjerg municipality on 1 January 2013 had a total population of 115 051 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) and an area of ​​794.50 km ². It is part of Syddanmark Region. The seat of government is in Esbjerg.
