Fredericia Municipality

Fredericia Kommune is a municipality of Denmark, in the region Syddanmark. It extends over an area of ​​133.60 km ² and has 50 374 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The seat of government is in Fredericia.

Fredericia municipality was formed in the course of administrative reform of 1970 and remained in full on the recent administrative reform of 2007. The municipality changed from Vejle Amt in the new region Syddanmark. The municipality operates within the region Trekantområdet along with five neighboring municipalities.
