Pólya Prize (LMS)

The Pólya Prize, named after George Pólya is a distinction in the field of mathematics that is awarded by the London Mathematical Society.

The prize is awarded in the years in which no de Morgan Medal is awarded and is, according to this, the second most important award of the LMS. The price is only directed at residents of the United Kingdom, with support of the De Morgan Medal are excluded.

Apart from the usual mathematics prices demand for an outstanding performance, the Pólya Prize can also be awarded for a particularly impressive display or special creativity.
