Pomarkku

Pomarkku (Swedish: Påmark ) is a municipality with 2370 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in Western Finland. It lies about 25 kilometers northeast of the port city of Pori in the landscape Satakunta. In Pomarkku only Finnish is spoken.

Community

The municipality was founded in 1868 and next to the village church Pomarkku includes the towns of Harhala, Honkakoski, Kiilholma, Kivijärvi, Laitila Längelmäki, Tuunajärvi and Uusikylä.

Attractions

The Kirchdorf Pomarkku has a well-preserved historic center and its many picturesque wooden houses from the 19th century. The village has two churches, in addition to the 1921 -built granite church was built in 1802 old wooden church, whose interior is decorated with numerous murals.
