Pontoon Dock DLR station

Pontoon Dock is a station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR ) in the London Borough London Borough of Newham. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 at the North Woolwich Road in Silvertown district.

The station is located, the typical construction of the DLR following, elevated on a viaduct; it can be reached from the street by stairs and lifts. Until the beginning of the 21st century, the area was still largely dominated by industrial wasteland. The first stage of city development project with the residential district of Barrier Point and the Thames Barrier Park ( on the banks of the Thames at Thames Barrier located ), has been completed.

Was opened the station on 2 December 2005, together with the branch line between Canning Town and King George V.
