Port Pirie is located about 200 km northwest of the city of Adelaide a few kilometers inland from the Spencer Gulf. The area includes 26 districts and towns: Bungama, Butler Bridge, Clements Gap, Cockeys Crossing, Collins Field, Coonamia, Crystal Brook, Ingrams Gap, Keilli, Koolunga, Lower Broughton, Merriton, Napperby, Nelshaby, Nurom Siding, Pirie South, Pirie West, Port Pirie, Redhill, Risdon Park Risdon Park South, Solomon Town, Wandearah East, Wandearah Siding, Wandearah West and Warner Town. The administrative headquarters of the council is in the city of Port Pirie in the north of the LGA.

Management

The Council of Port Pirie has eleven members, ten Councillor and the Chairman and Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council are elected by the residents of the LGA. Port Pirie is not divided into districts.
