Porto Salvo is a comune ( freguesia ) in a circle ( Municipio ) of Oeiras 7.3 km ² and 15,119 inhabitants (as of 30 June 2011) in Portugal. This gives a population density of 1933 persons per km ².

History

The community was founded on 11 June 1993 by the splitting of communities Barcarena and Oeiras e São Julião da Barra. The town was elevated to Vila ( town ) on 12 July 2001.
