Potoky
Potoky (up to 1927 Slovak " POTOKA "; Hungarian Pataki - to 1902 POTOKA ) is a municipality in the north-eastern Slovakia. The name means in German as " streams ".
In 2001, 83 of 87 residents as Slovak nationality.
Location
The village is located about 6 kilometers north of Stropkov and as far removed southeast of Svidník in the mountains Ondavská Highlands.
History
The village was first mentioned in writing in 1551, 1910 they had 116 - mostly Rusyn - inhabitants. By the Treaty of Trianon, the district Stropkov was in the county Semplin in the Kingdom of Hungary.
