Pougne-Hérisson

Pougne - Hérisson is a commune with 373 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Deux -Sèvres in the Poitou -Charentes. It belongs administratively to the district Parthenay and Canton Secondigny.

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 40 kilometers north of Niort and 60 kilometers west of Poitiers in the landscape Gâtine. Neighboring communities of Pougne - Hérisson are:

  • Clessé in the north,
  • Fénery in the Northeast,
  • Saint- Aubin- le -Cloud in the southeast,
  • Secondigny in the southwest and
  • Neuvy- Bouin in the West.

The municipality consists of the two main varieties Pougne and Hérisson which are about three miles apart. On the western boundary of the municipality of Ruisseau des Arcis, which assumes south of Pougne the name Palais and to the east the river Thouet tends to flow.
