Praeses

Church President (Latin, actually " sitting in front of something "; majority Praesides, President ) is the title of senior persons church bodies. It can equally be used for a female and a male person.

Evangelical churches

Country churches

Two Protestant state churches, the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland and the Evangelical Church of Westphalia, designate the presiding minister ( Rhineland ) or the presiding minister ( Westphalia ) as Church President, that is the function that is more like in other country churches the Bishop. Hamburg

Poland

In Poland is under the clause 147ff of the Constitution, the official name of the Prime Minister Prezes Rady Ministrów ( Präses the Council of Ministers ).
