Prêmio Jabuti

The Prêmio Jabuti de Literatura ( Jabuti Prize for Literature ) is the most awarded Brazilian literary award.

The Jabuti Prize was launched in 1959 by Edgard Cavalheiro, the then president of the Brazilian Book Chamber Câmara Brasileira do Livro (CBL) to life in order to enrich the Brazilian literature and to stimulate. The price and motivated readers interested in literature as well as authors, translators and illustrators, publishers, publishing houses and bookstores together to find each works best in 21 categories and reward. In Portuguese jabuti means " little turtle ".
