The municipality Presto is a district in the department of Chuquisaca in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

The municipality Presto is one of four Municipalities of the province Jaime Zudañez and is located in the northwestern part of the province. It is bordered to the north by the department of Cochabamba, on the west by the Province Oropeza, to the south by the municipality of Zudañez, and on the east by the municipality of Mojocoya.

The municipality comprises 156 municipalities ( Localidades ), central location of the municipality is the village of Presto with 793 inhabitants ( 2001 census ) in the southwestern part of the district, the second largest town is Pasopaya with 537 inhabitants.

Geography

The municipality Presto is located between the Altiplano in the west and the lowlands to the east in a north- south running of the side valleys of the Bolivian Cordillera Central. The climate of the region is a distinct diurnal climate where the temperature differences between day and night clearly vary as the average values ​​between summer and winter.
