Opened in 1860, Station Prien a Chiemsee is the largest railway station of the Bavarian market Prien am Chiemsee. The station belongs to the train station category 4 of DB Station & Service and has four platform tracks, one of which is a dead-end track. It is operated daily from about 85 trains of Deutsche Bahn and the meridian. Location

The station is located west of downtown Prien am Chiemsee. The station building is directed towards the city center and is located west of the railway facilities. History

The station was put into operation on May 7, 1860 the opening of the railway line Rosenheim, Traunstein. On 1 August 1860, the line was extended to Salzburg. After commissioning of the station Prien was only a small place. On August 18, 1878, the station gained in importance since the station was a hub, for Vizinalbahn Prien Aschau. Infrastructure
