Primož Brezec

Primoz Brezec ( born October 2, 1979 in Postojna, SR Slovenia) is a Slovenian basketball player. The 2.16 m wide center player plays since 2011 for the Russian club Lokomotiv - Kuban Krasnodar. He is since 1997 part of the Slovenian national team and took this at the European Championships in 2003 and 2005 and the World Cup in 2006 and 2010 in part.

Bezec began his career with KK Kraški Zidar from Sežana and switched to Olimpija Ljubljana, where he Slovenian champion and cup winner was three times twice in 1998. In the following three years he was active for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA. With his subsequent move to the Charlotte Bobcats Brezec became a regular player, giving him fourth place earned that season in the choice of the NBA Most Improved Player Award. He also scored the first points of the newly formed franchise. In the season 2007/ 08 he moved within a few months the club twice: first to the Detroit Pistons, and shortly thereafter to the Toronto Raptors, for his compatriot Radoslav Nesterović is also already active on the center position. To the next season Brezec signed with Lottomatica Roma. After another season in the NBA 2009/10 he plays since 2010 in Russia.
