BK Krasnye Krylia Samara ( Samara Red Wings ) (Russian Красные Крылья Самара ) is a professional basketball club of the Russian Professional Well Basketbolnaja League from Samara, Russia. The team was founded after the bankruptcy of other clubs from Samara, Samara ZSK WWS.
History
Krasnye Krylia took the place of ZSK WWS in all competitions. While occupied a place in the midfield in the national championship, managed European in the first year of advance in the finals of the Euro Challenge 2009/10, where they lost the BG 74 Göttingen 75:83. The following year, Samara played in the Eurocup, but did not have the group stage. In the season 2011/12 they were not represented in the European competitions, national succeeded by winning the Russian Cup, the first significant success. The Cup victory was repeated in the 2012/13 season. In the same season Krylia reached the Final Four of the Euro Challenge, where it was first beaten in the semifinals BCM Gravelines with 81:78. In the final, the team finally defeated Karşıyaka SK with 77:76 and thus won the third most important European Cup in basketball.
