Ingrid Alexandra, Princess of Norway ( born January 21, 2004 in Oslo) is the daughter of the Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Crown Princess Mette- Marit and is a member of the House of Schleswig -Holstein -Sonderburg- Glücksburg, a branch line of the House of Oldenburg.
Life
Princess Ingrid Alexandra is the first child of Crown Prince Haakon Magnus and Crown Princess Mette- Marit of Norway. Her brother, Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway, was born on 3 December 2005. The Princess also has a half brother, Marius Borg Høiby (born 13 January 1997) from a previous relationship of Mette- Marit.
The princess was named after the grandmother of Mette Marit and after Queen Ingrid of Denmark ( 1910-2000 ). The second name Alexandra was chosen because King Olav V of Norway (1903-1991) was originally called Prince Alexander of Denmark. Ingrid Alexandra was baptized on April 17, 2004 in Oslo. Your godparents are King Harald V of Norway, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Crown Prince Felipe of Spain, Princess Märtha Louise of Norway and her grandmother Marit Tjessem.
The princess grows on the estate Skaugum in Asker. She attended a public kindergarten since 2006 and since 2010 a public school in Asker, because their parents take great care to raise their children as middle-class children.
Succession
The princess takes after her father Haakon is in second place in the Norwegian throne. This has been possible since 1991, a change in the law was passed, which has extended to first-born female offspring previously male-only succession. Ingrid Alexandra could be the first Queen of Norway as head of state. In the British throne it is represented, there it is (as of August 2013) at the 75th rank - behind her younger brother.
