Princess Maria Immacolata of Bourbon-Two Sicilies

Maria Immacolata Luisa of Bourbon ( born January 21, 1855 in Naples, Italy, † February 23, 1874 in Pau, Armagnac ) was a Princess of Bourbon -Parma and Two Sicilies.

Life

Maria Luisa was a daughter of king Ferdinand II of the Two Sicilies and his wife Archduchess Maria Theresa Isabella of Austria. She had eleven brothers and sisters and was the second youngest child.

She married on November 25, 1873 in Cannes, near Nice her cousin ( 2nd degree ) called the 22 -year-old Prince Heinrich Karl Ludwig Georg Abraham Paul Maria ( 1851-1905 ), Henri de Bourbon -Parma. Her husband was one of four children of Duke Charles III. of Bourbon- Parma and Princess Louise Marie Thérèse of France. Maria Luise died but three months later, on 23 February 1874 in Pau, ( Armagnac ), with only 19 years. Your widowed husband married 25 years to his second wife, on 15 October 1876 in Salzburg, the 18 -year-old Infanta Adelgunde of Portugal ( 1858-1946 ). This marriage of the two had no offspring. Adelgunde but had nine miscarriages.

Your older sister Princess Maria Pia of the Two Sicilies (1849-1882) married four years before her on April 5, 1869 in the Cathedral of San Martino in Lucca her cousin ( 2nd degree ) Robert I. Karl Ludwig Maria of Bourbon- Parma (1848-1907) married. He was a three year older brother of her husband Henri of Bourbon- Parma (1851-1905) and the last reigning Duke of Parma, Piacenza and Guastalla. From this marriage twelve children were born. Probably due to the close relationship to the spouses some children were mentally and physically disabled. Also sister Princess Maria Pia of the Two Sicilies died early at age 33 at the birth of her twelfth child Augusta. Two years later married the widow of Robert in his second marriage on 15 October 1884 on Castle Fischhorn near Zell am See, the Infanta Maria Antonia of Portugal ( 1862-1959 ). She was the sister of her she surviving husband Henri of Bourbon- Parma and his wife, youngest sister Adelgunde of Portugal ( 1858-1946 ). Also from this second marriage were born twelve children also.
