Prisannewitz is since 7 June 2009, a district of the municipality in the district of Dummerstorf Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ).

Geography

Prisannewitz is located about 15 kilometers southeast of Rostock, on a rising south area, which extends from Zarnowtal up to 71 meters high Dolger mountain ( at Wendorf ). The lowlands of the Zarnow, a tributary of the River Warnow, is a nature reserve.

For the formerly independent municipality Prisannewitz included the districts Prisannewitz expansion, Great Potrems, Small Potrems, Scharstorf and Wendorf.

History

The place Prisannewitz was mentioned on February 4, 1282, first documented as Plotzanenitze. In this document Bernhard I was called as Lord. The ruling knight goblin had at that time in Kaboldesdorp, which is today's Kavelstorf his seat and gave the collegiate Güstrow in 1317 to no longer exististierenden Prisannewitzer lake. 1847 had Friedrich Franz II, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg, the grace, the application of the goods Scharstorf for admission to the University Association Prisannewitz - Old Griebnitz agree. 1865 received the community its own school. On 6 June 2009, joined the then independent municipality Prisannewitz along with five other municipalities in the same time -resolved Office Warnow -east to the new and official free community Dummerstorf.

Transport links

Immediately west of Prisannewitz passes the Federal Highway 19, east of State Road 103 from Rostock to Güstrow. The railway line Berlin -Rostock runs just on the outskirts.
