Priziac

Priziac ( Breton: Prizieg ) is a commune with 1021 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Local Government Association Pays du Roi Morvan.

Geography

Priziac is in the northwest of the department of Morbihan and belongs to the Pays du Roi Morvan.

Neighboring municipalities are Plouray in the Northeast, Saint- Tugdual and Le Croisty in the east, Saint- Caradec - Trégomel to the southeast, and Berné Meslan in the south, cross Rien in the southwest, Faouët in the southwest and Langonnet in the northwest.

The village itself lies off major thoroughfares. Seven kilometers west of Priziac leads past the D769 to Saint -Pol-de -Léon to Lorient. Important national road N164 and N165 compounds such as are far away.

The most important waters are the rivers and streams Ellé and Aer Kerguerizen, Corrogant and Kervazo. Partial form these simultaneously, the municipal boundary. Just to the west of the village Priziac the Lac du Bel Air is located on the municipality there are also several more ponds.

Demographics

History

The municipality belongs to the historic region of Brittany Bro Gwened (French Vannetais ) and within this region to region Bro Bourlet (French Pays Pourlet ) and shares his story.
