Le Croisty

Le Croisty ( Breton: Ar C'hroesti ) is a commune with 724 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Local Government Association Pays du Roi Morvan.

Geography

Le Croisty is in the northwest of the department of Morbihan and belongs to the Pays du Roi Morvan.

Neighboring communities are Saint- Tugdual in the north, Ploërdut in the east, Saint- Caradec - Trégomel in the south and Priziac in the West.

The village itself lies off major thoroughfares. Le Croisty is the intersection of the D178 by Plouray after Plouay and the D132 Ploërdut to Le Faouët. The most important regional road connecting D769 to Saint -Pol-de -Léon leads to Lorient eleven kilometers west past the place.

The most important body of water is the river Aer. Partly this is also the municipal boundary. In the municipality there are also several more ponds.

Demographics

History

The municipality belongs to the historic region of Brittany Bro Gwened (French Vannetais ) and within this region to region Bro Bourlet (French Pays Pourlet ) and shares his story. Le Croisty was taken on November 29, 1903 by a split from the municipality of Saint - Tugdual. Since then, the municipality in the canton of Guémené -sur -Scorff.
