Public holidays in Russia

There are several public holidays in Russia and also some religious holidays and observances or honor.

Legally, non-working holidays

If the public holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, it will be rescheduled according to the Russian legislation on the following working day.

The government can move individual business days to nonworking se Saturdays and Sundays in order to achieve a chain of uninterrupted work-free days in the preceding or following week.
