Putzarer See

The lake is a Putzarer in the Official Anklam - country district Vorpommern - Greifswald, Mecklenburg- Vorpommern situated lake. It is located southeast of the village in the municipality Putzar Boldekow in the nature reserve Putzarer lake. It has a length of approximately 2.5 kilometers, a width of 980 m and an average depth of 0.4 meters.
The lake is a Verlandungsee and has, since the transfer of the land trench about any significant above-ground inflow and outflow more. The lake has arisen as all lakes in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern in the last ice age. Surrounded by a wide, reeded sedimentation zone and in places of swamp forest lake is a nature reserve. Because of its low water depth and its function as a bird sanctuary it is temporarily hochpolytroph. In GDR times a nature observatory was operated by the Council of the District of Neubrandenburg.
