Anklam-Land

The Office Anklam country located in the south of the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). In office Anklam country 18 municipalities are merged to complete their administrative business. The administrative headquarters is located in the municipality Spantekow.

On January 1, 2005, the Office Anklam country from the resolved offices Ducherow, Krien and Spantekow was formed. On 7 June 2009 Drewelow and Japenzin were incorporated to Spantekow and Löwitz and Rathebur after Ducherow. January 1, 2010 Pelsin was a district of Anklam. Effective 1 January 2012 Neuendorf A was a district of Ducherow, Neuendorf B a district of Spantekow and Putzar a district of Boldekow.

The formerly independent municipality Wietstock was incorporated on January 1, 2011 by Altwigshagen from the neighboring district of Uecker -Randow and moved to the Official Torgelow so - Ferdinandshof.

On January 1, 2014, the former municipalities Liepen and Neetzow were merged to form the new municipality Neetzow - Liepen.

The office area extends from the Peene in the north to the great country in the south ditch. A small part of the Office is bordered on the northeast by the Szczecin Lagoon. The Office is bounded on the south by the county Mecklenburg Lakes and the offices Torgelow - Ferdinandshof and Am Szczecin Lagoon and the north by the Office Züssow. Some surveys reach in office the height of over 50 meters. The largest lake in office is the Putzarer lake. Larger rivers are the Peene, the Great Landgraben and the Peene- south canal.

Economically only agriculture is worth mentioning also the tourism plays a certain, albeit small role. Larger industrial settlements, there are only around Anklam.

Due to the north of the Office Anklam country leads the Federal Highway 199 from the westerly Federal Highway 20 to Anklam. Federal highway 197 (of Anklam to Neubrandenburg ) crosses in a north-south direction, the office.
