Bugewitz

Bugewitz is a town south-west of the Szczecin Lagoon, located near the town of Anklam. The community is managed by the Office Anklam country located in the municipality Spantekow. Until 1 January 2005, the village belonged to the Official Ducherow. The community is geographically the largest municipality in the district and also with the lowest population density.

Geography and transport

Bugewitz lies east of the B 109 Anklam is located about 15 km north-west and Ueckermuende about 18 km east of the municipality. In the northeast, the municipality borders with the district Kamp at the Szczecin Lagoon. Large areas of the municipality are forested.

On the Lagoon district of Bugewitz was which was designated in 1618 in the Lubinschen card with " Kulerort ". It was a Holländerei that has fallen desolate after 1920. Of these, only testify field names.

Uhlenort is resettlement, first time in 1995 officially named.

Delicate current ( historical )

Delicate power in 1865 first mentioned as such. It was a forester's house and a peat house, the latter was later abandoned, as the peat-cutters was discontinued after 1950. The forester's house was still up in the 1990s, occupied as a residence, after the rising water logging due to the restoration of peatlands to Anklam but it was empty moved, and is now in ruins. In the topographic maps of the site is still reported.
