The Office On Peenestrom ( 1992-2004 Office Wolgast -Land) is located in the north of the district Vorpommern - Greifswald in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). On January 1, 2005, the Office of the formerly free city Wolgast office and the municipalities Pulow, Buggenhagen and the city Lassan from the dissolved Official Ziethenstraße was extended. At the same time the community Kroslin resigned from the office at the Peene river and took over as Lubmin. The formerly independent municipality Great Ernsthof was the community Rubenow ( also in the Official Lubmin ) assigned. On 7 June 2009 the church was incorporated into the city Pulow Lassan. On 1 January 2012, the municipalities Buddenhagen and village chief came to Wolgast, so on Peenestrom seven municipalities have joined forces to carry out their administrative affairs in the office today. The administrative headquarters is located in the town of Wolgast.

The office area extends in the Baltic hinterland along the southwest shore of the Peene River and the eight water, only the municipalities Krummin, Lütow and Sauzin and part of the Wolgast town area located on the northern part of the island of Usedom. The Office is bounded on the south by the Office Anklam Land and officials Züssow and to the northwest by the Office Lubmin. Notable elevations and lakes are not in the office area, but here are the Peene river and the backwaters. Their shorelines are part of the nature park Usedom Island.

Economically only agriculture is worth mentioning also the tourism plays a certain, albeit small role. Larger industrial settlements are only available in Wolgast (shipyard).

Due to the north of the Office on Peenestrom the main road leads 111 of Gützkow to Wolgast.
