The Office Lubmin located in the north of the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). In office Lubmin the ten municipalities Kemnitz have come together ( near Greifswald ), New Bolton, Brünzow, Hans Hagen, Katzow, Kroslin, Loissin, Lubmin, Rubenow and Wusterhusen to perform their administrative business. The administrative headquarters is located in the seaside resort Lubmin. The current office Lubmin is caused by the inclusion of the community and the community Kroslin United Ernsthof after Rubenow in the Office Lubmin (1 January 2005).

The office area extends from the city limits of Greifswald and the Danish Wiek along the Baltic Sea ( Bay of Greifswald ) to the ( semi-) Struck island and along the Peene stream to the city limits Wolgast in the east. The Office is bounded on the south by the offices and Züssow On Peenestrom. For office area also includes the islands of Ruden and Oie Greifswald. Notable elevations are not in the office area. The extreme northeast of the Office is part of the nature park Usedom Island.

In the coastal towns Lubmin, Kroslin and Loissin tourism plays a major role. Agriculture dominates the hinterland. The former nuclear power plant Lubmin was decommissioned in 1990. Currently, about 1,000 people are working on the demolition, secure and manage. The grounds of the nuclear power plant is designated as a major industrial and commercial area of Mecklenburg- Vorpommern. In addition to the interim storage facility for nuclear waste, a new seaport is ( still no official commissioning) originated in the former outlet channel. Plans provide a number of new power plants, particularly to a proposed gas pipeline route from Russia through the Baltic Sea border here. In Vierow (municipality Brünzow ), there is another Baltic port.

Through the south of the Office Lubmin the main road leading 109 ( from Greifswald to Anklam ) and the B 111 (of Wolgast to Federal Highway 20).
