The Route 131 is a state highway (Route National) of the Canadian province of Quebec and performs the administrative region of Lanaudière.

Route description

The 132.6 km long cross-country road leads from Lavaltrie on the northwest bank of the St. Lawrence River, 50 km northeast of Montreal in the MRC D' Autray as a branch of Route 138 initially in a northwesterly direction to the Autoroute 40 from the Autoroute 40 until after Joliette in the same MRC Joliette Route 131 is widened to four lanes and congruent with the Autoroute 31 ( Autoroute Antonio - Barrette ). Then it passes through the neighboring town of Notre- Dame-des- Prairies north into the MRC Matawinie. There, the highway passes through the villages of Saint -Félix -de- Valois, Saint -Jean -de- Mahta, Sainte- Émélie de l'energie and Saint- Zénon and finally reached Saint- Michel-des -Saints. It ends nearly 13 km further east in the hamlet of Saint -Ignace -du -Lac on the south bank of the Réservoir Taureau.
